Bayside Photowalk
Sunday 14th January - FREE Photo Genius Photowalk / meet up
Join us for a FREE Photowalk / meet-up on the beautiful Brisbane bay. We meet and begin at the Wynnum creek boat ramp located next to Greene park, a great spot to capture the local pelicans plus the creek also offers plenty of photo opportunities with a selection of old fishing boats and bay views. We then walk south along the Esplanade, passing Pandanas beach, Wynnum jetty, the wading pool and into Manly. The walk will continue along Upper Esplanade to the Royal Esplanade to capture the views across Manly Harbour (a great spot for panoramas). Our final destination will be the Manly Boathouse for more great views plus an opportunity to enjoy a cold drink, coffee or Fish and Chips as the sun sets over the bay.

The walk is approx 3km with toilet and refreshment opportunities along the way.
Please note that although this is not a photography course or workshop, there will be plenty of tips and words of encouragement along the way - the objective is for everyone to have fun, make new friends and get some cool pics.

Location : Wynnum / Manly Brisbane bayside.
Time : 3:30pm - 6:30 (approx finish time)
Distance : Approx 3km one way.
What should you bring.
A camera with a fully charged battery (smartphone photographers also welcome) plus memory card with plenty of space.
A tripod is recommended if you are staying to the end but not essential.
Filters, other lens options etc are up to you, but we recommend packing the essentials only.
Where do we meet?
The meeting point is the Wynnum Creek boat ramp which is opposite Greene Park where Glenora Street meets Wynnum North Esplanade

Why is this event free?
We've been teaching photography in Brisbane for over 16 years, this is simply an opportunity to give something back to our supporters, friends and the Brisbane photography community, plus it's fun!
