About this course / workshop
This short three hour practical workshop is packed with tips and advice on how to take great photos after dark. A small group guided by a Photo Genius tutor ensures everyone gets plenty of attention and the chance to capture some great photos of Brisbane city at night. We meet at the Cliffs Cafe, 29 River Terrace, Kangaroo Point at 5pm, after a short briefing we begin by taking some photos of the city views as the sun sets, we then walk down to the riverside for more photos and then head onto the Story Bridge.
Student numbers are strictly limited and as usual loan tripods will be provided free of charge upon request.

Important note : During this course we walk approx 4km in order to get the best views and also have to climb some steep steps, comfortable shoes are essential and please only bring what you need and are able to carry comfortably.
What you will learn
How to take great night shots using the camera manual mode
Balancing exposure at night (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)
Long exposure v short exposures
Capturing movement

What you should bring
A DSLR camera (mirrorless, micro 4/3 or similar) with a fully charged battery
A spare battery if you have one
Standard lens (18-55mm is perfect)
Memory card with plenty of space
A tripod (we can supply one upon request)
A camera remote (if you have one)
A small torch
